Sketches I did at Blizzcon

Blizzcon and Disneyland was so fun! Disney was friggin packed though. I thought we were all suppose to be suffering from this horrible economy...

Anyway, I'm just posting some sketches I did while sitting and listening to Q&A at Blizzcon. I spoke to a few of their artists, it's actually embarrassing telling them I work as an artist at a company. I'll never rock at art like these guys did. I'm such a hack. But they were all very nice. One of the artists even told me he was rejected 3 times before he got a job there. Now that's persistence!

Zbrush Newbie Adventures!

I gave up figuring out why I could color his eyes and mouth, but not his face. So I ended up just forcing the thing to be 2d and colored it that way. The only reason I even finished this is because I told Shawn I would. For the most part though, I'm loving Zbrush... but what moron thought up that awful interface and shortcuts? Anyway, on to more tutorials!

My bird talks to himself.

My bird can't say very much... his vocab includes a half-assed "hello" "hey" "ok" "huh?" and he can laugh. He may not be able to say much, but he speaks gibberish, which sounds like people having a conversation. So this is what he does... he sits on my head, speaks gibberish as if he's having a conversation, breaks it up with a laugh every now and then, and then continues his "conversation".



He's weird.

Sketch - Red Panda!

Hee.. I love animals! Red pandas are pretty much the most mind blowing of cuteness ever.

I watched that movie "Requiem for a Dream" today. Everyone who has ever seen it has freaked out about how it's one of the best movies ever... I was pretty disappointed. At least it was worth a watch, but I can't figure out why everyone I know has told me "You MUST watch it!!". It was probably over-hyped for me..

I went to a shitty game expo (GeexShow) today in Salt Lake. It was pretty much a semi-large lan party with about 6 booths. The highlight was the free photo booth they had there...
